Meet the Staff

Eric Albus - Outfitter
Meet your outfitter, Eric Albus. Eric is a 4th generation rancher/farmer and resides
on the ranch his greatgrandfather, grandfather and father all worked. His love of the
land, livestock, and wildlife are an intergal part of the outfitting business.
Eric grew up hunting N.E. Mt, and often jokes that "since he wasn't smart enough to be
born rich, he's glad he had the good sense to be born in Eastern Mt."
Eric began guiding in 1989, and started Milk River Outfitters a few years back.
He never dreamed that the sport he loved as a kid growing up would evolve into the
industry it is today, or that the the muddy river he swam in as a kid would become a
household name and destination for sporting persons across the country.
Eric says that he is "very fortunate to have the guide staff we do, without them the
show would not go on".
"We have been blessed beyond what we deserve".

The Guide Staff |
Top notch, knowledgeable guides are an intergal part of any successful outfitting business.
MRO has a great guide staff, with several of the guides having worked for MRO for more than
10 years. Eric, Jared, Darren, Cody, and Scottie, are all seasoned veterans. They also
employ 2-3 new guides out of guide school every year.
Hunter who fill their big game tags early are treated to upland bird, waterfowl, or predator hunting.
The guides are diligent in showing the clients what Eastern Mt. is about.

Jared Albus
Jared Albus, Eric's younger brother generally spends the archery season tying up loose ends on the
farm and ranch, but come rifle season you can find him in Miles City, conducting the first half
of the trophy gun hunts on the Powder. Jared's reputation of seeing game is second to none.
He puts in many long hours finding great bucks for the clients hunting with him.

Darren Beadle
Darren Beadle, MRO's "Mister Whitetail", has probably moved and hung more treestands on the Milk River
than probably any other single person in history. Darren annually guides many clients to top archery
and rifle whitetail bucks, and will fill in and help take a mule deer hunter if he needs to. Darren
knows what winds work to hunt what stands, and says "I can't be fired, I'm the only one who knows
where all the stands are at". He may have us over a barrel.

Cody Palm
Cody Palm is an excellent mule deer and bird guide. All the hunters who have the priviledge hunting
with Cody request him for the following year. Cody works hard to find the kind of buck his client
wants to harvest, and get them "up close and personal" with the game they are after. Cody also does a
lot of bird hunting with the MRO clients, and just does a super good job, both with the hunters and finding the birds.

Scottie Henry
Scottie Henry spends most of the year raising and training bird dogs and competing in field trials.
During the hunting season Scotty can be found guiding mule deer hunters or bird hunters for MRO.
Scotty brings a great deal of enthusiasm to hunting camp, and is always willing to get out and "hunt some stuff".
Scotty does a great job for MRO and their clients.
